Empowering learners through early intervention
At the Nosihle Msomi Foundation, we believe that early identification and intervention are key to helping children with learning challenges thrive. Our mission is to close the gaps in early childhood education and support South Africa’s most vulnerable young learners.
We focus on:
- Advocacy: Raising awareness, promoting inclusive policies, and changing how society views learning difficulties.
- Diagnostics: Providing thorough assessments to identify developmental and learning challenges early.
- Tailored Support: Creating individualized therapy plans, group interventions, and classroom strategies to improve learning outcomes
Research & Innovation
In partnership with universities and research institutions, we:
- Evaluate what works in early intervention
- Develop culturally relevant assessment tools
- Share knowledge to advance the field of educational psychology
We’re committed to evidence-based practices that evolve with the needs of the children we serve.
Our Pilot Project
We’ve launched a pilot in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg, in collaboration with Sakhimfundo Youth Program, to showcase the power of early intervention. This initiative is designed to create equal opportunities and build a more inclusive, supportive education system for all.
Our Impact
We’ve supported hundreds of children in under-resourced communities by giving them the tools to learn and grow.
